What we do

Hide started because of a growing concern around privacy and surveillance, with a lack of methods to take back control.

Our company does not adhere to a political group or ideology. We are people who value our privacy and want to gain back control of our own lives.

Corporations and governments collect our data at an unprecedented rate. Your online activity has progressively been attached to your biometric data (eyes, fingerprints, facial features, etc.) allowing unforeseen consequences.

We've entered an age where not only protestors and journalists must protect themselves from surveillance. Hide seeks to provide solutions to these modern day problems.

Our glasses are made using IR-blocking lenses with privacy-first models offering greater coverage to facials features making facial recognitions effectively impossible.

Why IR-blocking

Surveillance does not wait for daylight. Infrared is how cameras keep working at night and in high-glare environments.

Polarized or dark lenses still pass enough infrared for a camera to pull biometric detail from the eye area. You may think you are hidden but the cameras can still see you as if you had nothing on.

IR-blocking lenses look like normal tint. They deny that channel, so facial-recognition and low-light systems have much less to work with.

IR-blocking targets infrared. Facial recognition also uses visible light and other biometrics, and results vary with lighting, distance, and the system on the other side. This is not a guarantee and not a security device. See the FAQ for what the lenses do — and what they don't.

Shipping & returns

We ship within the United States only. Shipping and tax are calculated at Stripe Checkout. Orders ship within 2–3 business days. If something arrives damaged or the fit is wrong, contact us promptly — we do not outsource support.

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery if the glasses and any included accessories are in original condition. Approved refunds go to the original payment method.
